For facial VI Peel treatments, peeling often begins around day three and lasts several days. Some people peel less visibly than others. Your individual instructions take priority over a general timeline.
Certain formulations are designed to address pigmentation concerns, but not every dark spot has the same cause. Your provider assesses your skin and discusses whether a peel or another approach is appropriate.
Do not pick or pull at peeling skin. Follow the aftercare instructions provided, including guidance for cleansing, moisturizer, sunscreen, makeup, and exercise.
Chemical peels can cause irritation, prolonged redness, pigment changes, infection, or scarring. Tell your provider about medications, allergies, cold sores, recent procedures, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any skin conditions before treatment.
That depends on your concern, skin response, and goals. A series may be recommended, but we review progress rather than promising a particular outcome after a set number of visits.
